RE: Stuff for Cassies scene
History as known now
::With a face of grim determination, Pieter van Horn approached his oldest enemy: The Sabbat. He brought them an offer, to give them information that will help them secure Fort Branton as long as he has safe passage out of the city. The man he met with nodded and van Horn gave him a book. The man lunges forward and attacks van Horn with fangs out and grapples him to the ground. They both bite into each other, but Furst seems to take the advantage and drinks the Sabbat until he is ash. Furst wanders around for a few nights when he realizes while feeding he now possesses a new discipline: fleshcrafting. He remakes himself into the visage of the Sabbat member he met with and led the faction against the Camarilla of Fort Branton. ((cont))
He aides them in taking over the town, yet not too long after they discover that he is an imposter and barely manages to make it out alive. When he arrives in a new Camarilla held-city, he flesh crafts once again and this time takes a new identity of Wilhelm Furst. ((cont))
The city in the mean time goes through economic upturns and small downturns until the mid 20th century when it finally crashes. With human instutions largely vacating the city, Furst makes his move to take what he believes to be -his- city back again. He joins forces with Maddox and Mason and using his knowledge of the city, they take back Branton to be used as a staging ground against New York City. Immediately after retaking the city, he takes claims Praxis, but when Mason betrayed him in the bid for Praxis and instead supported the plebian Nosferatu Maddox instead, whom also had support of the Giovanni residing in the city. He was once again unable to hold his claim. ((cont))
Some years pass and the city’s Camarilla population again grows. That is until one fateful day when under the guise of a terrorist attack that a group of federal and international operatives came to town. With what seemed to be a battle cry of “Fucking Juanita!” they attacked both the civilians and Kindred population of Branton which ultimately led to the destruction of the ferris wheel and Minos Plaza. And that brings us to the near presend day where the Anarchs came to Branton in order to establish a new foothold for their sect::
::van Horn sticks around for another few decades until he tries again for Praxis against Shaw, and this time he succeeds. He manages to protect Fort Ravenstein from various Sabbat seige over the next couple hundred years. He builds Ravenstein into a bastion of economic power. There are no casinos or breweries, instead there is industry and finance. The city is a crown jewel of the Camarilla in America. That did not stop the Giovanni from making a pact with the city to run operations out of it. Little did van Horn know that would be the downfall of his city. ((cont))
The Second Inquisitions strikes out at Branton rather unsuccessfully, with the Giovanni taking the brunt of the damage. The results of their decimation is some of that clan aligned with the Cappadocians, the Samedi, and the Harbingers to create the ultimate Kindred doomsday cult known as the Hecata or “Clan of Death”. It is not known much of what happened on that day in 2019, but what is known is members of the Hecata went into the tunnel system under Branton and city collapsed into what could only be describes as The Abyss with no Kindred or Kine surviving.::
A quest for Cassie (work in progress)
Throughout the quest she can either choose to change the past for selfish reasons or to make the selfless choice.
Stage 1 - Ancient Branton
This will be from when the time of Lilith mentoring Caine. What the stakes here are and choice to be made are TBD.
Stage 2 - Chicago
Cassie is younger and feeling alive. She is in the car with her father, a song is on the radio (I highly suggest Walking On Sunshine because that’s the trope song for a) flashbacks and b) shit’s about to go bad) and she’s singing along. He’s talking to her about her future, how he hopes that whatever she chooses to do will make her happy. Tragedy strikes, a drunk driver runs a redlight and smashes into their vehicle. She still has her knowledge of medicine she does in present age. She can choose to save her father or choose to save a stranger that was hurt as part of colateral damage
Stage 3 - Founding of Branton
Again… not too sure what stakes we want to put up here, what would be the selfless vs selfish choice. Reveal that Pieter is Furst and his treachery of the Camarilla to the Sabbat.
Stage 4 - Branton during the SI event at the Ferris Wheel
Save a stranger or avoid getting killed. Pretty Simple
Stage 5 - Meeting Brock
This is such a crucial point for her character. When Brock spotted her after the day after the earthquake sitting on a park bench he asked her to go to Affliction because he was depressed and lonely and needing a connection with anyone and she was predatory and looking to get her drug fix. Deciding not to go seems to be the selfless choice, until she finds that he decides to kill himself.
RE: Next Session 11 March 2019
Not everyone was on, so I had to cancel… as a side note: I use #ooc to take census of who is on. If you don’t wanna hang out in that hive of scum and villany then please PM me so I know you’re on. Also if you can’t make it please try to let me know so I can either make plans around you not being there or cancel the session in advance. Thanks!
